My Story
This story will mostly consist of pictures. It's more of a timeline than anything else. I have a theory that a person stops being the definition of a child when he/she turns 16, so that's where this timeline will start.

2007
At my 16th birthday party. At this time, I think I weighed around 200 lbs.

2008
At the beach with my friends and my co-workers. I believe that I weighed around 225 lbs. at this point, my absolute heaviest.

2009
Me after my high school graduation, around 210 lbs. I had been trying to lose weight and I had lost almost 20 pounds. But I didn't see the results as much, so I suppose I just gave up.

February 2010
My first ballroom dance competition. Around 225 lbs.

August 2010
That summer, I broke my ankle and this was when my weight loss really started. In this picture, I'm down to around 210 lbs. again. When I broke my ankle, I realized that I couldn't waste my life not being active and being obese (which, statistically, I was). Something inside of me just clicked.

October 2010
My first time going out dancing, since I broke my ankle. I was wearing a huge boot on my leg, but it still felt so great. Around 195 lbs.

November 2010
Me with my absolutely adorable nephew on Thanksgiving! About 190 lbs.

February 2011
At my first ballroom competition since I broke my ankle, with my new partner who is still my partner today. Around 185 lbs.

April 2011
In Boston for another competition. Around 175 lbs.

June, 2011
In Heidelberg, one of the stops on my 16-day Europe trip. I hadn't lost any weight, but I think I lost inches and built muscle.

November, 2011
My latest ballroom competition in Columbus, OH. Still around 170-175 lbs.

December, 2011
The latest almost full-body picture that I have of me. Making a VERY stupid face with my ballroom dance partner, at a party.

As you can see, I've come a very long way. But for the past 8 or so months, I've lost 2-3 pounds, gained it back, lost a few inches possibly. 172 lbs is great but I want to be 135 one day. And that's what I'm here to do! If you've read this far, I thank you kindly. I appreciate any and every word of encouragement. I'll make it there one day soon and I can't wait to do it.
